The Mi Band 7 will come out on May 24.

Xiaomi, a Chinese company that makes consumer electronics, said on May 20 that its Mi Band 7 fitness tracker will be shown off at a new product launch event for its sub-brand Redmi on May 24 at 7:00 p.m.

There will be two versions of the Mi Band 7: standard and NFC. The box for the NFC version has been leaked. The box showed that the new product had an AMOLED screen, a professional sleep tracking function, sports effect evaluation, a dial with rich themes, a voice assistant, waterproofing to 50 meters, and a built-in 180mAh battery.

The band also comes in different colors, such as blue, pink, green, orange, white, and black. It also checks blood oxygen levels continuously throughout the day and vibrates to let you know when blood oxygen levels are lower than 90%.

Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, said on May 21 that the Mi Band 7 will have a much better screen with a 1.62-inch AMOLED display and a 25 percent larger viewing area. Adam Zeng, who is the senior vice president of Xiaomi, says that the company has sold 140 million of its bands. Redmi will hold a press conference on Tuesday to announce the Redmi Note 11T series of smartphones, the Redmi Buds 4 Pro, and the Redmi Book Pro Ryzen Edition.

What do the Xiaomi Mi Band 7’s features include?

The biggest difference between the Mi Band 6 and the Mi Band 7 is the tracker’s new, bigger screen.

It has the same pill shape as its predecessor, but Xiaomi says it’s now about 25 percent bigger and measures 1.62in. It also has a higher resolution (490×192) to make sure it’s just as sharp as before (326ppi).

With this larger full-color always-on AMOLED panel, Xiaomi has been able to make a new user interface that shows more information at a glance. Some of the 100+ watches faces also have animated parts that, thanks to a new chipset, should look smoother.

The Mi Band 7 can continuously track your heart rate and (improved) blood oxygen levels. It can also help you with breathing exercises, measure your stress, and track your female cycle.

In addition to the 120 sport modes it can track, the 7 can also tell you about your VO2 Max, training load, recovery time, and the effect of your training. As part of those 120, there are four “professional” sports modes, and some of them can automatically find workouts.

The Band 7 can track your activity, but it also has built-in tools like a flashlight, remote camera and music controls (on phones that are compatible), timers (including the Pomodoro timer), weather, alarms, and more.

The NFC model, which is usually only sold in China, works with Alipay and WeChat Pay, but the extra features cut a day off the 15-day battery life that was promised. The Xiao AI assistant is also included, which lets you control smart home devices that are compatible with IoT.

We hope we won’t have to wait too long for Xiaomi to launch the Mi Band 7 internationally. In the meantime, be sure to check back often because we’ll keep adding the latest news and rumors to this article.
