In 2022, exciting new smartwatches will be available.

1. Google Pixel watch

After waiting for years, the Google Pixel Watch is now official, and it will come out in the fall of 2022.

At I/O 2022, Google showed off its first smartwatch, which it designed and built. We still don’t know a lot about what it will do, though. Google said that the Pixel Watch is made of recycled stainless steel, which should give it a high-end feel, and that the bands can be taken off quickly so they can be changed easily.

Fitbit will be in charge of the fitness tracking features of the smartwatch. This includes tracking of steps and activities, heart rate all the time, and the Active Zone Minutes metric.

Wear OS 3.0 will have apps, a better Google Wallet for payments, and the company’s voice assistant, as well as a new SOS feature. There will also be a version that works with cellular data, and the Pixel Watch will run on an “improved” version of Wear 3.0 with a new user interface. The smartwatch will come out “this Fall,” at the same time as the Pixel 7 phone, so we’ll have to wait until then to find out more.

Details about the Google Pixel Watch

A report from 9to5Google gives a lot of information about the Pixel Watch’s features. First, you can expect a co-processor that should help speed things up. More than 1.5GB of RAM could also help. Also, the same report says that the Pixel Watch will have 32GB of storage, which is twice as much as the Galaxy Watch 4 and means that you can carry more music with you.

According to a report from 9to5Google, the Pixel Watch won’t have a very big battery—just under 300 mAh. This makes it bigger than the 40mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, but smaller than the 44mm model and the Apple Watch 7. People say that the battery in the watch might not last more than a day.

It is also said that Google has filed for a USB-C charger for the Pixel Watch, but it may not have fast charging. Sources say the device will have the same 110-minute charging time as the Galaxy Watch 4. Lastly, the Pixel Watch will reportedly have a heart-rate sensor that can read SpO2 and ECG readings, just like the Fitbit Luxe and Charge 5.

2. Apple Watch Series 8

A report from 9to5Google gives a lot of information about the Pixel Watch’s features.  First, you can expect a co-processor that should help speed things up. More than 1.5GB of RAM could also help. Also, the same report says that the Pixel Watch will have 32GB of storage which is twice as much as the Galaxy Watch 4 and means that you can carry more music with you. This makes it bigger than the 40mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, but smaller than the 44mm model and the Apple Watch 7.  People say that the battery in the watch might not last more than a day. Even though there isn’t any confirmed information yet, we can guess that the Apple Watch Series 8 release date will be in the last quarter of 2022 based on how things have gone in the past. Apple usually shows off new versions of the Watch along with new iPhones in September, and there’s no reason to think this year will be any different. If the price is like that of the Apple Watch 7, or pretty much any other recent Apple Watch, it will probably start at around $399 or £369. It doesn’t seem likely that Apple would change this pattern, but the rumored new model would probably be priced differently.

That’s about all we know about the Apple Watch Series 8 right now. But you can be sure that we’ll keep this page up-to-date with any new rumors about the upcoming wearable (s)

3. Apple Watch SE 2

We don’t know when the Apple Watch SE might come out yet. But based on when the last Apple Watch came out, we expect the next one to come out in September 2022. Now, will the Apple Watch 8 be the only product at that launch? Or will the Apple Watch SE also be here? In a recent newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman asked this important question. Gurman says that there could be three new Apple Watch models in 2022: the Apple Watch SE 2, the Apple Watch 8, and a rugged Apple Watch.

In the same way, there are no true rumors about how much the Apple Watch SE will cost right now. But Apple has kept the prices of all its best Apple Watch models the same, so we expect the price of the second-generation SE to be the same as the price of the original.

The original look of the Apple Watch SE was based on the look of the Apple Watch 4. Even though it doesn’t have an ECG reader, it’s more like the Series 4 than the Apple Watch 5, since it doesn’t have a screen that’s always on. A new rumor says that the SE 2 will look pretty much the same as the first Watch SE, with the same size displays and just an aluminum case. But a lot of the internals seem to be getting updated, which we’ll talk about below.

4. Samsung Galaxy Watch 5

South Korean site The Elec got a hold of a leaked release schedule that says the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will come out in the second half of 2022. This isn’t a big surprise, since the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 range came out in August of 2021. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 came out in August of 2020, so we think the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 will come out in August of 2022.

These devices were supposed to have a whole new operating system that combined the best parts of Tizen and Wear OS. They would also be powered by a fast new chipset and have a lot of new health tracking features. And they mostly did that, but there were a few problems and caveats. So, for the inevitable Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 (and the possible Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Classic), we want a number of changes. The biggest ones are listed below. We’ve also looked at when Samsung’s next big wearable is likely to come out, how much it might cost, and other early rumors about it. When more leaks come out, we’ll add them to this article, so this will be the best place to learn about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 before it comes out.

5. Honor Watch GS3

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 might be the best watch that Samsung has made so far. We’ve heard a few rumors so far, and one of them is that there might be a new Pro model. Last year, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 came in two styles: a standard model with a sporty look and a Classic version with a physical bezel. It also had a sensor that could measure your body composition without touching it. It was also the first smartwatch to run Wear OS 3, a unified platform that lets you use familiar Samsung apps along with some Google apps.

So how will the Galaxy Watch’s fifth generation keep its title as the best smartwatch for Android? With the rumored Google Pixel Watch threatening to crash the party, the Galaxy Watch 5 should try to change the wearable market. There could be new ways to track your fitness, a new look, more ways to stay in touch from your wrist, and more.

There have been a few leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5, but we don’t know a lot about it yet. The most recent rumor comes from GalaxyClub, which says it has found codenames and model numbers for the three models of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 that have been rumored. The one that is said to be the smallest is called “Heart-S” and has the model number “SM-R90X.” It will reportedly come in 40mm and 42mm sizes, which would make it the basic Galaxy Watch 4’s replacement. “Heart-L,” or SM-R91X, is the second model. It’s said that this will come in 44mm and 46mm sizes, which makes sense if it’s meant to replace the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. There may also be a Pro version, which we’ll talk more about below.

Aside from the model and size information, we’ve also heard a few rumors about the sensors that the Galaxy Watch 5 might have. The first of these comes from the Korean site ET News, which says that the Galaxy Watch 5 will have technology that can tell the temperature. The second is that the Galaxy Watch 5 won’t have temperature-sending technology, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
